Product Description

  • Only the freshest, high-quality chicken is used for this Southern classic. The gizzards provide a soft, tender bite and feature a rich, dark-meat chicken flavor. Highly versatile, they work well as an appetizer, light lunch fare or buffet offering.
  • The gizzards are popular for catering, fast food and casual dining. These fun morsels are just right to serve on a toothpick with a tangy sauce. They are great breaded and deep fried, and they may be broiled, baked or pan-fried.
  • Braising or slow-cooking the gizzards at low heat ensures they will be extra-tender and juicy. Baking is also a good method. Cut them in half and season them lightly with salt, pepper, herbs and spices. Then drizzle them with olive oil. Bake at 500 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes, until the gizzards are browned.
  • The gizzards are provided raw with no additives or preservatives.
  • There are eight, 80-ounce packages per case. The controlled, dual-layer vacuum packaging preserves freshness, retains natural flavor and enhances shelf life. The packaging resists punctures and prevents CO2 leaks.
  • Store in the cooler section for up to 14 days. The ergonomically designed, octagonal box is easy to carry and requires little cooler space.
