Product Description

  • Swai fillets are white-flesh fish that are farm-raised. Swai is also known are iridescent shark, which is a species of shark catfish native to the rivers of Southeast Asia. Despite its name, it is not a shark.
  • These once frozen, boneless, skinless fillets are moist and delicate in texture with a flaky white flesh and a mild flavor. Each fillet weighs 2-3 ounces average.
  • The swai fillets are very versatile and may be used for a variety of cooking methods including battering/breading and deep-frying. Serve with fries and a sauce.
  • Swai fillets can be baked, pan fried or broiled. Season the fillets with salt, pepper, butter and lemon. Cook quickly until the thickest part of the fillet flakes easily with a fork.
  • Swai provides an economical alternative to catfish products but cannot be menued as catfish.
  • Refrigerate immediately upon receiving and keep under refrigeration until ready to cook.
